Jerry Seinfeld performed this show live at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York a couple of months after Seinfeld went off the air. After recording this special Jerry vowed never to use old material again referencing his repeated use of "bits" from Seinfeld. Hence the title of the special, "I'm Telling You for the Last Time".
